Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is set to launch in India as we speak, the company confirmed to Device 360. The phone debuted globally last month as a toned-down version of the Galaxy S20 flagship. The Galaxy S20 FE, also known as the Samsung Galaxy S20 fan version, comes with triple rear cameras apart from the hole-punch display.
The smartphone also features the design language that you have seen on the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Notice 20 series. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE comes with a 120Hz display and offers a variety of color options to choose from. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE India Details
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will launch in the Indian market with only 4G support, while its world variant comes in both 4G and 5G options.
The India version of the Galaxy S20 FE can only have one configuration – 8GB + 128GB storage – and there are 5 color options available, specifically Cloud Crimson, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy and Cloud White. It is not like the global model with 6GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants in total six color options including Cloud Orange which is not coming to the Indian market.
Samsung hasn’t confirmed the India pricing of the Galaxy S20 FE, though it has been described as “extraordinarily aggressive” in nature. However, its 5G model starts at $699 (approximately Rs 51,200) for the worldwide markets. The India price of the telephone is likely to be much lower than the global pricing.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Specs
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE runs on Android 10 with One UI 2.0 and sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED Infinity-O display with 20:9 side ratio and 120Hz refresh rate.
There will also be a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the top. The phone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 990 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the Galaxy S20 FE comes with a triple rear digital camera setup consisting of an f/1.8 wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel main sensor with optical picture stabilization (OIS) assist. The digital camera setup also includes a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens that has a 123-megapixel field-of-view (FoV) in addition to an 8-megapixel telephoto shooter.
For selfies, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE packs a 32-megapixel selfie digital camera sensor on the front, along with an f/2.0 lens. The front camera also comes with autofocus support.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE comes with 128GB of onboard storage. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Kind-C port. The phone also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Apart from this, there is a 4,500mAh battery that supports 15W quick charging and Wi-Fi charging.
